June 13, 2016 - Long Grove, IL: MAT Foundry Group Ltd., a leading global manufacturer of automotive braking components, announces a major expansion of its production facilities at their Mexican facility located in Ecatepec, Mexico.
The facility, known as Mincer HD, will be expanded in 2 stages - the initial phase will enable production of both ductile and grey iron automotive components for global customers in Mexico and the United States with an initial capacity of 30,000 metric tons per year. This expansion will include DISAmatic molding technology, induction melting, automated pouring and casting finishing processes. In addition to these automotive components, Mincer HD will continue to supply current customers with quality components in the heavy truck, trailer, and commercial vehicle markets in North, Central, and South America.
The award was presented by Dr. Elmar Degenhart, CEO of Continental AG, and accepted on behalf of Eurac by Thomas Krosnar, President of MAT Foundry Group and Peter Ebeling, General Manager of Eurac Lemgo. Project completion and initial production are scheduled for mid-2017. Phase 2 will double output capacity."
